Sophie Sharpe leads Executive Group, which is responsible for supporting the Secretary, Home Affairs portfolio ministers and senior executive. Her responsibilities include parliamentary and cabinet support, media, international engagement, data and economic analysis, enterprise performance, and governance.
Sophie has held the roles of Group Manager Executive and International, First Assistant Secretary Executive Division, and Chief of Staff to the Secretary in Home Affairs.
Previously, Sophie was with PM&C in national security roles and was the Executive Officer to the then Secretary, Dr Martin Parkinson. Sophie has also held roles with Australian Federal Police, Department of Defence and Attorney-General’s Department.
