Join us to hear from Blair Comley PSM, appointed Secretary of the Department of Health and Aged Care in July 2023, at our Secretary Series event.

Blair is no stranger to challenging roles, having led the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism and the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency. He also led the New South Wales Department of Premier and Cabinet as Secretary and worked as a Partner and Head of Government Practice at EY Port Jackson Partners.

In his address, Blair will discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by the Department of Health and Aged Care’s Capability Review, including a focus on strategic policy capability, stakeholder engagement, and empowering Executive Level staff.

Katherine Jones, Secretary of the Attorney-General’s Department and IPAA ACT president, will be our host and facilitate Q&A.

We are also pleased to present three National Fellows of the Institute after the address. To be presented by IPAA National President, Andrew Metcalfe AO FIPAA, the prestigious award recognises an individual’s outstanding contribution to the study or practice of public administration.
