Webinar: Workplace health and safety: What managers need to know about positive duty
Do you understand your responsibilities for managing safe and respectful teams?
Creating a safe and respectful workplace is now a core responsibility for managers and leaders.
Positive duty obligations require employers to take proactive steps to prevent sexual harassment, sex-based harassment, discrimination, hostile workplace environments and related psychosocial hazards. For public sector managers, this means understanding not only the legal obligations, but also the practical steps that help staff feel safe, supported and able to do their work, particularly in complex or challenging roles.
This webinar will explore what positive duty means in practice, how it connects to workplace health and safety, and what managers can do to identify risks early, respond appropriately to complaints and support safer, more respectful team environments.
The session will cover key legislative frameworks, how regulators approach compliance, and practical examples of where this work is being done well.
Special thanks to our tier two partner, Holding Redlich, for partnering with IPAA ACT on this webinar.
