Paul is the first Assistant Secretary, AI Delivery and Enablement at the Australian Government Department of Finance.
Paul’s focus is on building whole of APS capability to safely adopt and scale artificial intelligence while supporting the implementation of the APS AI plan and the development of Gov AI shared services. Paul is also the co-head of the AI Co-Lab, a cross-sector initiative bringing together government, academia, industry and the community to advance trustworthy and responsible AI in the public sector. With a background in economics, public policy and digital transformation, he works at the intersection of technology, governance and public value, helping agencies navigate how AI can improve service delivery while maintaining strong safeguards, transparency and public trust.
