Chris is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Payments & Integrity in Services Australia. The Payments and Integrity Group supports payment accuracy and the integrity of government outlays. The Group administers the Agency’s intelligence and fraud functions, payment accuracy programs, debt operations, and the appeals processes. Chris led the Agency’s response to the Royal Commission into the Robodebt Scheme.
Chris was previously in the Department of Defence for 26 years, principally in international and strategic policy. In these roles Chris provided policy advice on Australia’s overseas military deployments, international defence relationships, and strategic defence capabilities. Chris’s last role in the Department of Defence was in the estate and infrastructure group.
