Abbey Hill
Executive Assistant to the Division Head of the Business Grants Hub
Department of Industry, Science and Resources
Abbey Hill has been a dedicated public servant and Executive Assistant for over two years, contributing her expertise across two federal departments in the areas of employment procurement, integrity, and grants. Before entering the public service, she was self-employed, providing recruitment scribing services to both local and federal government agencies.
Currently, Abbey supports the Division Head of the Business Grants Hub at the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. She considers herself a ‘homegrown’ public servant, having gained a deep understanding of how to support an organisation’s strategic objectives from the ground up. This experience has fueled her passion for cultivating a workplace that is as rewarding for new entrants as it has been for her.
Through her leadership and mentoring, Abbey has built a strong, collegiate network of skilled and experienced Executive Support professionals. Her commitment to excellence has been instrumental in supporting the establishment of her department’s Integrity Branch, elevating the strategic profile of her current division, and collaborating with the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) to promote and educate others on the vital role and value of Executive Assistants.
Abbey holds a background in Criminology and Anthropology. Outside of work, she enjoys caring for a home filled with indoor plants, cooking and baking, and bouldering.
