I’m a proud Ngunnawal – Wiradjuri women emerging Elder, a Traditional Custodian & have lived in Canberra all of my life with heavily involved in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and organisations in the ACT and surrounding regions such as the Ngambri Aboriginal Land Council, ACSRA Aboriginal Communities Sporting and Recreational Activities, Munjuwa Aboriginal Cooperation for Housing and Health and Burringiri Aboriginal Corporation for Cultural and Arts.

I’m Founder & Chair of the Harold “Crow” Williams Memorial Rugby League Knockout Association; This Knockout has a standing history.

Previously I was the National Indigenous Program Coordinator for Lifeline Australia; my main focus is on Family Violence providing communities the opportunity in National Accredited training, tailored training for organisations, Awareness session and other programs to suit the needs of our communities.

I’m very passionate about education in the prevention of Family Violence and that this is not our culture. The training is delivered Nationally in rural and remote Indigenous communities for Allied Health, Health, community and frontline workers to Recognise, Respond and Refer to people at risk of Family Violence or experiencing.

I’m privileged to engage with these communities with Traditional Owners/Elders, Stakeholders and Community for endorsement and promotion for the targeted audience to participate.

The DV-alert Indigenous program has been independently evaluated with great educational outcomes.

I have significantly contributed to the development and the review of the National Accredited training for the Indigenous program.

I founded and implemented the Mulleun Mura Program with the Women’s Legal Service ACT and surrounding regions and managed a culturally appropriate service Providing Justice Service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in the region with Domestic and Family Violence, Care and Protection, Separation and Divorce, Employment and Discrimination and also the intoducing Justice Reinvestment working with Women and their families for better outcomes when back in community and society.

Apologies, but there are no posts to display.
