The IPAA ACT Future Leaders program is a unique opportunity for emerging leaders in the public sector with aspirations of progressing to management roles.
Designed in partnership with Deloitte, the program offers exceptional leadership skill development and networking for emerging and future leaders. Over six immersive sessions, participants can tap into new networks, build skills, access advice and be inspired so they can thrive in the ever-transforming public sector.
Senior Executive Leadership Conversations (SES program)
Are you a public sector leader looking to expand your skills and your network? IPAA ACT’s SES program, Senior Executive Leadership Conversations, can help you grow your impact and build your team to create an even better public sector.
IPAA ACT’s SES program, Senior Executive Leadership Conversations, is a six-session program for SES Band 1 and equivalent leaders from across the public sector in the ACT.
The program is framed around challenges facing public administration, and the ongoing attributes and mindset required for excellence as a leader. The content fosters authentic leadership, curiosity and intellectual insight, while supporting participants to build networks and deepen relationships across the sector.
Each of the six sessions focuses on the craft of leading in a complex, volatile environment where specialist expertise alone will not suffice, and where harnessing the experience of colleagues, teams and stakeholders will be increasingly necessary.
First Nations Emerging Leaders Program
Are you an aspiring First Nations leader keen to unlock your leadership potential?
This program for APS 4-5 (and equivalent) emerging First Nations leaders working in the commonwealth and ACT public sector will connect you to a network of like-minded emerging leaders from across the public sector.
This program has been designed to emphasise Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership voices and lived experiences. We aim to provide a brave space to build resilience and your authentic leadership brand. The program will build from the lived experience of leaders and presenters working in community, policy and implementation fields across the public sector system. Learn from those who have walked that path before you, and work with your peer group to: build from those foundations, effectively navigate the cultural load, achieve outcomes and build a network to walk alongside you as your public sector career makes a difference.
