“There was a very useful level of information that could be generalised. The frankness of the speakers and the breadth of backgrounds of the participants added depth and relatability.”
“The program was valuable from a networking and engagement perspective with SES outside my agency. The opportunity to hear from key leaders across the APS was also a key benefit.”
“It was great to discuss a variety of important issues that don’t necessarily directly impact on my work or come up frequently.”
We support you in forging a rewarding career, not just training for a single job. We focus on the long-term career of public sector leaders across your many roles, departments and projects. Our Senior Executive Leadership Program dives deep into emerging trends, strategic foresight, and upcoming challenges shaping public administration, helping you expand your leadership impact, strengthen your networks, and prepare to lead a future-ready, adaptable, and resilient public sector.
The program involves 28 contact hours across 2 blocks of 2 days in person. Each session fosters authentic leadership, intellectual curiosity, and strategic thinking, empowering leaders to tackle evolving demands with confidence and agility.
In a first for 2026, the program features a session on executive storytelling, helping you engage, influence, and support colleagues at all levels.
Designed in partnership with KPMG and significantly updated for 2026, the program offers exceptional leadership skill development. It also provides a unique opportunity to build meaningful connections with peers, senior executives and thought leaders from within and outside the public sector, fostering collaboration and shared learning.
The Senior Executive Leadership Program is open to IPAA ACT organisational members. Check if your organisation is a member here.
Applicants should be SES Band 1 and equivalent. Participant selection is managed through internal nomination processes within member organisations.
