Since 7 July 2021, Rob has been the Chief Executive Officer of Australian Institute of Health and Welfare. From December 2019, Rob was a Deputy Secretary at the Department of Education, Skills and Employment with responsibility for higher education (including research), international education and data coordination. From August 2016, Rob was the Deputy Secretary, Energy, at the Department of the Environment and Energy with responsibility for energy policy including electricity and gas markets and fuel security. Rob was also Australia’s representative on the International Energy Agency’s Governing Board.
