“Nina Davidson joined ONI as Deputy Director-General Intelligence in October 2021.
From 2015-2021, Nina was Head of Office of the Australian Government’s Productivity Commission – responsible for the overall management of the Commission’s work across its research, reporting and advisory functions and its corporate enabling functions.
Before that, Nina led the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s Economic Division, providing advice on a range of economic issues. Nina was Deputy Director-General of the Office of National Assessments (ONA) from 2010 2014. In that role Nina oversaw analysis and assessment of a broad range of international political, strategic and economic developments affecting Australia’s national interests, and was involved in intelligence coordination. Prior to that, she was Assistant Director-General of ONA’s International Economy Branch.
Nina has also worked in The Treasury, on issues ranging through Australia’s international economic engagement, the domestic macroeconomic outlook and taxation policy, as well as on organisational strategy.
She worked as a development specialist in the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI) Machinery of Government Program while living in Honiara during 2005-06. And she was an Adviser to the Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC in 2001-2003.
Nina has a first-class honours degree in economics from the University of Tasmania.”
