Moira McLoughlin
Graduate
Department of the Senate
“As the Graduate Data Network’s project lead for the Australian Government Data Forum, Moira advocates for innovative use of data across the APS. Through her role, she hopes to foster robust conversation and encourage the use of data to provide a voice for all Australians, on leading issues.
Since completing the graduate program at the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, Moira is on secondment with the Department of the Senate. Her time as a graduate in the AIHW Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) unit has focused on the delivery of a novel National Data Compendium to establish leading statistical information on the prevalence of FDSV. Her experience as a data and information analyst has honed a passion to develop data sharing, infrastructure and reporting to understand the diverse experiences and stories across Australia. Through her work she aims to continue to advocate for strong government policy and drive effective, evidence-based decision making across the APS.”
