Mentoring Program

The IPAA ACT Mentoring Program provides a unique opportunity to connect individuals from across the ACT public sector, those seeking to mentor others (mentors) and those seeking to be mentored (mentees). The program is only open to IPAA ACT Corporate and Individual members. The pairing of mentors and mentees will be undertaken by IPAA ACT, which will ensure that mentors and mentees are selected from different portfolios across the Australian Public Service and the ACT Public Service.

The 2017 Mentoring Program will be delivered over a four month period commencing in April. The program will include four events which will be held in Barton:

  • Session 1: Launch Event - Wednesday, 5 April (5:30pm to 7:00pm)
  • Session 2: Keynote Speaker Event - Wednesday, 3 May (5:30pm to 7:00pm)
  • Session 3: Panel Event - Wednesday, 31 May (5:30pm to 7:00pm)
  • Session 4: Finale Event - Wednesday, 28 June (5:30pm to 7:00pm)

An additional feature of the 2017 Mentoring program will include increased support and resources for mentees throughout the entire duration of the program. IPAA will also assist in facilitating initial one-on-one sessions between mentors and mentees.

Expressions of Interest – 2017 Mentoring Program

Expressions of interest for the 2017 Mentoring Program are now open. 

We are seeking nominations from mentors and mentees for the program. If you are interested in participating, please read the guidelines below and complete the appropriate Expression of Interest form:

Applicants should ensure they complete the Expression of Interest form in full, including mentoring preferences. The PDF forms can be completed electronically or off line. The form should then be scanned and sent as an attachment. Please note that places on the program are not guaranteed, with nominations likely to exceed available places.

Expressions of interest are due by Friday 3 March via email to IPAA.

Successful mentors and mentees will be advised by 17 March. Mentees will then be invoiced the total cost of the program fee of $690 (GST inclusive). Information about this program has been provided to heads of corporate members. If you have any questions in relation to the program, please contact Tania O’Neil on 02 6154 9800.
