ACT Division

The Institute of Public Administration Australia’s Young Professionals Network (IPAA YPN) is all about your professional development and building networks with people with a stake in public administration.

YPN is the young professional’s arm of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA ACT Division). IPAA is a professional non-political organisation with divisions in all Australian states and territories. In the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), the Institute serves as an important source of information and opinion on issues of government policy, innovation and reform.

The YPN’s outcome is “Informing, equipping and engaging young professionals in public sector issues”

Professional networking. What is it, how do we do it, and why do we need it?
The Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) ACT Division Young Professionals Network (YPN) invites you to Networking for the Future, an event aimed at answering questions like these and providing an opportunity for real-life practice.
Come along to learn about networking and meet other young professionals from a variety of public and private sector organisations with an interest or stake in the public service.
The program will include a short presentation and five minute networking intervals to help you expand your contacts. Be prepared to meet people from organisations you didn't even know existed.

Through a range of far reaching and innovative programs, the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) is enhancing the work and influence of the sector throughout the country.

IPAA is a professional non-political organisation with divisions in all Australian states and territories. IPAA is coordinated by a National Council. In the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), the Institute serves as an important source of information and opinion on issues of government policy, innovation and reform. 

Membership

IPAA-ACT-MembersMembership of the ACT Division of IPAA is open to those who have a continuing interest or involvement in public administration and management. The Institute is a professional non-political organisation with divisions in all states and territories and coordinated by a National Council.

The ACT Division is managed by a council of elected members and an Executive Director. The council is elected by postal ballot and announced at the Annual General Meeting held prior to 30 September in each year.
